40th Anniversary

Soiree

40 Years of Community Healing.
Building the Future of Whole-Person Health.

For 40 years, Rafiki Coalition has been a trusted, community-rooted provider of free, culturally affirming health, mental health, and wellness services for Black, LGBTQ+, and marginalized communities in San Francisco.

This anniversary is both a celebration and a call forward.

We have proven what is possible when care is grounded in culture, dignity, and community leadership. Now, at a moment of shifting public funding and growing need, we are building the foundation for Rafiki’s next 40 years—one rooted in whole-person health, prevention, healing, and long-term sustainability.

We invite you to join us in investing in what comes next.

This anniversary is more than a milestone—it is a turning point.

Rafiki Coalition has spent four decades building trust where systems have failed, delivering care rooted in dignity, culture, and community leadership. While Black health outcomes have improved, deep inequities remain—and recent shifts in public funding threaten the stability of community-based care.

At this critical moment, Rafiki is focused not only on sustaining our services but on strengthening a long-term, replicable model of whole-person, culturally affirming care that will serve our community for generations.
