African American Community Health Equity Council (AACHEC) Relaunch

When: Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 9:30 AM – 2 PM

Where: Umoja HAP – 5000 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94124

Join the Rafiki Coalition for the official relaunch of the African American Community Health Equity Council (AACHEC) at the Umoja Health Access Point.

This relaunch arrives at a defining moment for San Francisco, as Black health disparities remain both stark and under-addressed. With an imminent budget reduction in Department of Public Health funding threatening essential investments, our community requires a stronger, more coordinated, and Black-led response.

This will not be a traditional convening or symposium but a structured working session and community design sprint. Together, we will identify priority problems, shape solutions, and define what Black health equity must look like in San Francisco right now.

The gathering features a strategic plenary session focused on the current health and budget landscape, three breakout group work sessions focusing on major health issues in the Black community, designed to shape our collective demands and a panel with prominent leaders from our community.

Your leadership and voice are essential to securing the resources our community deserves. Please mark your calendars and prepare to join the session that best aligns with your work. Together, we will turn our collective vision into a protected reality for all of San Francisco.
