Reclaiming Wellness:
Mental Health in Our Community: Examining the Stories We’ve Inherited and the Ones We Want to Pass On
When: Thursday, November 19th, from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (Doors open at 5:00 PM)
Where: Rafiki Coalition, 601 Cesar Chavez, San Francisco, CA, 94124
This presentation explores how cultural narratives, family beliefs, and lived experiences shape the way we understand and respond to mental health within our communities. Together, we’ll examine the stories we’ve inherited about strength, vulnerability, and seeking support, while identifying new narratives that promote healing, resilience, and connection. Participants will leave with practical strategies for reducing stigma, fostering open conversations about mental health, and helping create a legacy of wellness for future generations.
